Our handy weekly guide to help support you and your business and to share relevant information and guidance

Rules Relaxed to Help Businesses During the Coronavirus Pandemic

A list of the rules that have been temporarily relaxed to make it easier for businesses to continue working through the disruption caused by coronavirus was updated last week. This includes a delay to the implementation of the new IR35 rules, gender pay gap reporting, right to work checks, taxable expenses for employees working from home and annual leave. The others employment law changes that came in effect earlier this year do still apply. You’ll find more details here.

The Coronavirus Job Retention Schemes new portal for claiming furloughed workers wages is up and running and having made our first claim last week, found it very user friendly and straightforward to navigate. If you are yet to make a claim you’ll need to have the names of the employees you are claiming for and their National insurance numbers to hand.
