Do you have experience of print management or design?

We are looking for a Production Manager to work with the Content Team of a local charity; the role will involve production and distribution of a broad portfolio from props to publications. Understanding internal clients’ objectives, opportunities and challenges across Marketing, Fundraising and Communications departments plus wider Charity to manage suppliers, schedules and spend in evolving strong and distinctive brand collateral

Responsibilites:

  • Growing and coordinating network of third-party suppliers; balancing objectives and audience considerations with finance and delivery requirements to secure effective materials, quotes, quality and results

  • Liaising with colleagues and stakeholders, building strong and effective relationships to proactively pitch and deliver solutions that meet briefs, coordinate approvals and enable timely content distribution

  • Working closely with Content Coordinator and other Content Team colleagues to weave production considerations and timings into project workflow, with involvement end to end in schedules as appropriate from concepts to press passing

  • Supporting colleagues in activities around stock and data management, budget tracking, scoping/embedding policies and procedures, process improvements and success measures, with a particular focus on guiding designers regarding tech specs and clients regarding distribution

  • Acting as subject matter expert, supporting campaign development and other initiatives to encourage deeper engagement with target audiences, plus contributing new ideas and supporting with other content production tasks as required

key requirements:

Preferable Arts-related degree or HND in the area of print management or design

  • Creative: a minimum of three years’ experience in a recognised print production management role

  • Consumer focus: demonstrable experience consolidating client needs

  • Project management

  • Targeting and effectiveness: strong understanding of marketing mix and knowledge of best practice

  • Legal: familiar with legal/industry compliance around consent, engagement, data protection, image rights, content accuracy etc

  • Technical: understanding of various print techniques and processes; proficient in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of using Adobe creative suite
