Stars Appeal Petra Trekkers 'Where Are We?' Photo Competition - Answers

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Petra Trekkers ‘Where Are We?’ Photo Competition and to everyone who made extra donations! They will make such a difference to patients and their families at Salisbury District Hospital and right now they are busier than ever, with even more demand on their funds. Your donations have gone straight to help support staff and patients during these most challenging times.

The competition raised over £1000!

Huge congratulations go to our winner Kevin Thornton who identified all of our favourite places correctly!

You’ll find the identity of the photographs of our views, places, monuments, buildings and cities below.

Again, on behalf of the Petra Trekkers THANK YOU so much for your support.

In April 2021, the trekkers will set off on a journey that takes them on foot along the Jordan Trail, over mountains, through desert and canyons to the Ancient City of Petra.

Starting at Dana, they will follow ancient Bedouin paths for one hundred kilometres, camping each evening until they reach Petra.

Previous treks have made a huge contribution to the £1million the Stars Appeal needs each year to help hundreds of people in Salisbury District Hospital to get better faster, return home sooner and have a more positive hospital experience.

The fight against Coronavirus is the greatest challenge the Hospital has ever faced and they are doing all they can to help staff and patients.

Your donation will help to support the hospital and its heroes – the crisis nurses, doctors, porters, cleaners, catering staff, office workers and many other local NHS staff, as well as help enhance care across all Wards and Departments

You can find out more about the work and projects the Stars Appeal fund here.
